removed my lower cladding
My X is white, with the limited beige color cladding, and the previous owner added some chrome (grille, front bumper, drop down steps, silver rims). I actually think the white/beige/chrome color scheme looks fine, but I'd prefer all white & black (like a giant panda, lol). So, at some point, I'd like to get black rims, and convert all the beige & chrome at the waistline & below to black using Line-X bedliner (I have a friend that currently owns a Line-X franchise, so could probably get a good deal).
I didn't realize the lower part was just cladding. Now, if/when I decide to go ahead and do it, I don't know whether to Line-X the cladding & try & stick the cladding back on, or whether to just Line-X the paint from the waistline where the cladding used to start down. I suppose the latter would be simpler as there would then be no risk of the cladding coming off, since my X spends a reasonable amount of time on rough B roads, fire roads, offroad etc. But I'm not sure how clean the cutoff point from the white to black would be with spraying of the bedliner (when accurately taped off) directly onto the body instead of the cladding, and we'd still have to do the fender flares (or replace with Bushwacker fender flares), and tape off the reverse proximity sensors etc. However, I have seen a few that looked okay, so I suppose if accurately taped off it should come out okay. Any feedback?

We left the cladding off because of all the crud trapped behind it causing rust. If you spend time on the fire roads there will be dirt back there. You can spray right up and over the fenderwell with the bed liner like we did with our paint. In hindsight I wish we had used the colored bed liner. It would hold up much better to rock chips.
How much to ship to 54115?
The best thing for that pinstripe was....get this....Easy Off oven cleaner!

Removed the cladding, installed the bull bar, installed the stone guards, oil change. Just waiting on the Brown Truck to show up with my 4" exhaust and Beans Chip.
Removing the cladding and trim is easy but the stupid adhesive is a pain in the a** to get off with any goo gones or spray. Gonna bust out an eraser wheel in a few min.

I have been considering doing this for some time now. My door cladding is loose in a couple corners so it looks to come off easier than most, but I have never seen a green one without the cladding. Anyone done it to that color yet? (00 Limited - olive green/tan cladding) PLEASE post up pics if so - thanks!
