So we've got all this space right. I was bored and had an idea after seeing a couple threads today on 4th row seats.
Stole the extra third row out of my dad's excursion lol. It was in the garage covered in dust anyhow, and his excursion is a work truck so he doesn't use it and likely will never install it again. If he does, I'll just give it back and buy my own.
This is how most of the 4th row seats I've seen were done
This really does me no good because I hardly carry people in my truck, so it would be just taking up space.
So this idea came to mind.
Then I took the bracket off the bottom of one to see. Looks better and the bottom cushion is now flat.

And from the 2nd row
If I go ahead and stick with this setup, I'm going to build a filler piece to fill the "leg room" in between the two seats, and wrap it in matching leather so it's like one huge lounge chair. This is some vinyl I had, I will probably look for something closer but if I can't find anything, this is pretty close, and with my dark tint, you'll likely never see that it's a different fabric.
Only other idea I have is I may build the seats up a little, maybe 6-8" off the floor, it would give me a little storage under the seats, and I could probably push the seats a little further back towards the side interior panels, for more laying room on the seats. Ideas?
Well that's all. I was bored and this came to mind so I tried it out. Nothing is mounted yet. I kinda like it. It's very comfortable. The only other thing I could do which would be kinda cool and loungey, is ditch both seats and use the entire cargo to have two large reclining captains chairs, but that's more money and more complicated to do, and I already have the two bench seats.
