Yup, I think it looks pretty good myself. I just hope that the lower pistripe grows on me or I may have to pony up the cash for the factory style stripe. Maybe after we pad the purse a bit. Wallets getting kinda thin now after Christmas and the repairs to the X. Found out I'll be laid off coming the 16th too so it's time to tighten the belt.

It's supposed to be temporary. We get slow this time every year. People get nervous because they burned up last years budget by Oct and don't want to run out again. So...they hold off on ordering new product until mid Feb or early March. Then they untie the purse strings and we work overtime until after the 4th of July usually. In the past we cut down to 32 hrs but I'm gonna use the time off to finish up some projects... Ok, finish at least one project... Ok, I'm gonna try to work on one of my projects. Like getting the flaps and boards on the X.

can one of you guys who has already taken your door molding off tell me what holds the chrome strips in the side? I'd like to take mine out and repaint them so they aren't chrome. I don't like it.

With the chrome off though, it would probably just look like an Eddie Bauer one.

the eddie bauers have contrasting cladding. My limited is like the one you are parting out, its all the same color. I'd like to paint the cladding black and replace the front and rear bumper with black ones and get some black wheels eventually.

oh I just looked at pics I get what youre saying. on the 00-04 eddie bauers it looks like they HAVE that strip, but its painted. on the 05 eddie bauer it looks like different cladding completely: Ford : Excursion Ford : Excursion | eBay

I'm not sure the '05 cladding is different from the rest.
I think the '00-'01 XLT and Limited is the same as the '02-'05 XLT and '03-'05 Eddie Bauer (different colors obviously). '02 up Limiteds had the chrome inlay.
