My truck has the trim over the wheel wells as well, does anyone know if there are there holes in the body from mounting this or is it just held on with adhesive? I want to take it off...really bad!

It looks like this (not my truck): <img src="http://www.americancarsuk.com/Ford_Excursion_W622SBF/Ford_Excursion_Limited_000DSCF0063.JPG"

there should not be any holes behind the eb/limited trim. i believe it was all held on with adheasive and the screws on the underside of the fender lips.

i got my stone gaurds today and installed, them..looks much better i will be painting them to match here soon once i get my parts for my frontend(small wreck) but for now it looks much better then holes in the body.

the paint underneath was not any different then the paint above, just no swirl marks lol but a good waxing and alittle buffing before that made it match almost perfect.

This is an excellent and easy project. I just did this over the last two evenings on my 2002 aspen green excursion. It looks much cleaner, and with my black 20x10 kmc xd rockstar wheels and 37" Nittos, then entire rig looks great.

Removing the two sided tape didn't take that much work. I used goo-gone and a little elbow grease. The paint underneath looks no different than the rest of the truck as I've kept it very well waxed, even after never being garage kept for its entire life. I like the change in its look.

Also, thanks for the link to the Ford site and suggestion for the rock guards. I just ordered a pair. Thanks to everyone who provides ideas, links, and advice. I find this site very valuable.

on the doors yes, just find an edge and pull. but on the front fender and the rear QT panal there are plastic push pins and bolts that need to be removed first before pulling on them.
