I think they make them for both those axles. But why true tracs? For the front maybe but locker for the rear is the only way to go.
I think someone took some video of it, so I'll try to get ahold of that. There was a short box Chevy with 35 inch tsls that was stuck, and I made it through the same spot after that.
lol. i want the true trac cause my explorer is mostly a daily driver. its not like im out wheelin the thing every weekend, or that its a trail rig. mostly im lookin for a replacement for the worn out trac loc clutch pack in the rear end, that i wont have to replace in another five or ten years. lol.
Hell, my DD has a locker in the rear, I don't wheel it a lot, just everyone and a wile. I like lockers in the rear axles due to best traction in the winter and when you have to go places you don't feel comfortable going. Lol. Limited slips are for front axles IMO.
i like the idea. like if, i could have a limited slip in the rear, with an electric locker, id take it. but to my knowledge, they dont do those, and i dont think my rig is quite serious enough to step up to a locker yet...
think you can find it? cause id be all for that. know if anyone does a full-floater axle with 5x5 bolt pattern? cause a nine inch with floater ends would rock... not havin to jack it up to change an axle shaft, or pull the third member...
