I don't have pix but it is so easy a dysfunctional monkey can do it. I did it.
Take the two (2) screws out of the "Dog House" and turn it around so the 90* is towards the fire wall. The O-rings beneath it will probably be shot so just find some that will fit at a hardware or parts store.
Take a length of 3/4" hose (get enough so that the end will be well behind the cab.) connect it to the 90* and run it UP AND OVER the power brake unit then down and under neath the truck. Running it over the brake unit allows vapor mist to run back into the engine.
Run the hose along the frame making certain that it does not droop as fluid will/may collect there and shut off the breather effect..
Now where the original hose was connected to the intake tube, block that off, I cut a plate out of thin metal, drilled a hole for the original screws, applied RTV and plugged the hole.
Some have made some type of a breathe/filter for the end of the hose. I have one on mine and I have never collected enough fluid to worry about.
You only need this mod if you have an intercooler IMHO. It keeps the oil from the blowby out of it. Also, the rubber boots may blow off due to the oil too. There may be a performance gain if you route it into the exhaust.....CORRECTLY. If it's done wrong you may blow the dipstick right out of it's tube and cause engine oil leaks.
I have installed many on gassers with as much as 30HP increase...on a dyno. Never dynoed a diesel to see if there are any gains.
