Hey all! Now that my exterior modifications are just about completed:
Lund Stainless Bug Deflector, Ventshades, Billet Grille, Bed Mat, Xtreme Floor Mats, TFP Stainless Wheelwell Moldings, Prodigy trailer brake, and Sylvania Xenarc Headlight Bulbs I think it's time to do the engine. I have a 2003 F250 SC SB 4.11LS ESOF 4X4 and just about everything else with a 5.4L. Here's what I would like to add:

Computer Chip (Diablo?)
Cold Air Intake
Exhaust (Flowmaster 40 Series?)

Ken recommended the Diablo chip. I have heard good things about them. For the cold air intake, I am up for suggestions on what and who's works the best. Exhaust, I can bend the exhaust myself (have a Huth hydraulic pipe bender and a ton of pipe). I like the sound of the Flowmaster 40's, but am wondering about pipe sizes. I want to eek out a little more power. Still looking for molded Ford splash guards. I think Ford discontinued them. I would also like to add a spray in bed liner. Only one available around here is not Line-X, but the other one. Can't think of the name. I would appreciate everyone's suggestions on what you know worked for you and what did not.

Thanks
Jimmie

well.... i am unsure if the air intake will do you that much good... the diablo chip is nice, but i don't think it gives anywhere near the claimed numbers.

as for exhaust... go with the flowmaster 40.... you will not be disappointed. nothing in my opinion sounds as good as a flowmaster 40 and on the v8.... you will have a NICE throaty sound.

if you decide on the cold air intake, i think any of the major brands are good.... k&n, airiad, air force one, etc. again, i think your only benefit from that is the reusuable filter (well they soound cool too).

Thanks for the input. If you do not believe Diablo to be the best chip for the 5.4, whose chip would you recommend? As far as the exhaust goes, I've bent a load of dual exhausts in the past 13 years and have yet to hear a better sound than the Flowmaster 40's. I'm glad you agree. True story, had a guy drive a brand new F150 from the dealer lot to my shop to change the exhaust to a 40 Flow and dual tails. Truck had like 3 miles on the odometer.
