Sorry about that second post if anyone saw it. My internet connection here is having problems and I've been troubleshooting it and tomorrow I'm going to visit the internet guys to give them something to chew on.
Anyhow, yea, as you can see in the picture I pulled mine completely out. Maybe I'll do it your way so I don't have to go through the pain of getting that bugger back up in there because by the sounds of it I may have to open up the wheel well again to take a look at wires and such to figure out WTF is going on.
Well, i,mbooked up tomorrow pretty good, taking my oldest to the range, then get some ciol pluges for the EXY then have time to install it all then it me, but tht can all change, huh. I'll pm you tomorrow if i thik of it....
yep, np, if you'd like you can give me a buzz, I'll PM my number but I'll still try and keep this post up to date, I'd appreciate everyone else doing the same with what they've done so that this can be referred to for others that stumble across this post for information.
I'll make it a point to mess around with my connections on my PCM and my IDM tomorrow and look under the dash and try and find why I'm getting those codes. I want no less then 100% out of my truck but that costs $$ and I don't have much of it at this time. Maybe one day I'll have enough to be able to get everything done that I want and need to do, maybe!
I,m no expret but maybe you got a smidge of that tin on that other resistor and its drowning out per say, or joined , from the looks of it, wouldn't be to hard and I got 2020 vision, let me know.. Shoot me your mouth and ears(phone no#) and we'll figure this out..
It's a possibility. For the heck of it, since I wasn't getting exactly 75K out of that resistor (and by no fault other then my own) I ordered some more resistors and I'll pre-ohm them out before installing them and this time instead of trying to be **** about how my resistor is positioned I'll leave some legs on it and use a hot glue gun to glue it to the big blue guys in the box
Anyhow, we'll see how it goes, the resistors should be here Thursday and mueckster buddy, if you would like a resistor back I have no problem with sending you a replacement If nothing else I'll keep some around for others on this forum.

Thanks for the offer. If you need my address again, just PM me. I have another member that wants to do this on his E'99 IDM. When I get my "trade in" IDM back next month, I'm gonna to mod a spare.
Mike, Adam knows a guy at work that does this for a living. We should get together and just have him do ours, since I need mine done also. We can feed him and water him for the work. I should of had Adam take my IDM to work this week so they could have done it since I'm off work. I should have thought of this Monday...............

Buddy, you got it! just PM me your address since I threw the letter out and I'll send ya a couple so you have a spare
redfire42, you needing one bud? You have to order in sets of 5 so I'll have a couple left over.
Visseroth ... id love to have one for my early 99 if u have a spare
NP, just PM me your address. I'm waiting for them to come in later this week and following my resistor replacement with an exact 75K I'll ship yours out. Shouldn't take to long. Will probably ship it no later then Monday.
I used a hot glue gun, but yes you are correct. All the rattling around can break the solder joint loose and cause intermittent problems or a IDM failure while on the road. RTV or a hot glue gun, anything to give it support and keep it from coming loose.
