maybe I should consider getting an H pipe then. My rigs not really in for the high revving stages. Its going to be about 300 horses with the same exhaust as above.

As for going with a 3" exhaust, I experienced some loss in power and something that resumed a misfire in the 2800-3500 rpm range. Going with a 2.5" and glass packs, that all went away, Just my .02

I have a gutted cat and a muffler and my truck is pretty loud. It is louder than a 460 with stock exhaust. Your friend didn't have a true straight pipe.

its really not that hard to be louder than a 460 with stock exhaust. mine was so quiet i couldnt even tell it was running. now i like to disturb the peace with true duals with 22 inch cherrybomb glass packs that kick out in front of both rear tires. get on it, its loud. stay out of it, and its a nice low rumble.

Right. Your buddy didn't have a straight pipe and you know it.
