Update: I towed my boat and checked the filter minder on the AIS and it hadnt moved much at all. It wasnt much of a real tow test because its only a 17ft bass boat and I wasnt towing in any mountains, but it sure was quieter in the cab!
I ran the AIS for 7 months and switched to the 6637 nine months ago. I'm going to go back to the AIS tomorrow. I don't care for the drone at freeway speeds. I am glad I held onto it.
You live in CO...do you tow any in the mountains? did you notice any changes in EGT's pulling, or did you go straight from stock set-up to AIS?
I do just about all my towing in the high country there is no way around it in Colorado you are either going up hill or down hill & pulled with the AIS & 6637. I have not noticed any power difference between the two filters, as for the EGT's hard to say while pulling because they are going up & down a lot while pulling & passing other vehicles.
The two things that did change was the noise the AIS is not as loud & when you come to a stop the EGT's dropped much faster with the AIS than the 6637.
Just a side note I'm running the sleve with my AIS & have never pulled the minder even on WOT pulls empty & close to WOT pulls loaded.
Hey, how do I insert a quote from another post like every one else. mine not boxed & greyed in.
It's magic.......................... If you look on the lower right hand side of the post there is a button there that says "quote" if you click that button it will automaticall quote the post for you.
If you want to quote mutiple posts to the right of the "quote" button there is a button you click that on each post that you want to quote, when you get to the last one also click the quote button after clicking the multi quote button.

Now that, I must say, is extremely interesting.
Maybe there's something to this idea of cold air intakes after all.
No one ever claimed that the 6637 wouldn't suck hot air when stopped. However, I can still get mine to drop under 300, and even under 250 if I let it sit long enough (several minutes). Even sitting on high idle, it stays right around or below 300. I'll be doing that today for at least an hour. Maybe I'll get a vid...

I tow a lot in the mountains. I live at 5800' and climb over a pass that tops out at 10,000' twice a year to drop my 5'ver on my property in South Park. I also tow my 3 place ATV trailer regularly along the same route all summer long. I keep an eye on the EGT's but never let them go to 1200 degrees. I towed once with the stock airbox and stock exhaust and I would hit 1200 no sweat. Now with my AIS, 4" exhaust and Jody's 60T tune, never really an issue. I do shift out of OD at certain spots to keep my RPM's up around 2000. It helps a bunch in keeping the temps down.

I don't have the sleeve and Yes, not much seat of your pants difference in power between the stock and AIS BUT the temps are much better with the AIS, hands down. I also drive a lot of dirt roads so the AIS was my choice for keeping the dirt out.
We'll have to get together and go riding sometime. I know of another PSD guy that goes ATV'ing with me. He's a crazy SOB.
OK, lets define MY atv ridin'. It usually required one hand on the handbars and the other holding a cold beverage....
Nevertheless, let me know if you want do an easy camp. I have two acres of God's country, plenty of open space around with no one to hassle us and you are more than welcome!

I sat for about 2 hours today with it idling -- EGTs settled to a hair over 200, and a little under 250 with it in high-idle (1100). This is after being fully warmed up after a 30+ mile drive with the AC on. I sat there long enough to create a steady stream of water from the AC drip line...
