I agree: Morimoto Mini H1 are amazing!
I don't... I ordered them in a bulk package, and since have removed the package and dumped them into a container. I do know, they are big... about the size of a thumbnail long and a bit larger around then a pencil eraser. I'd assume a 10amp or 15amp sized axial diode. When I get time, I'll run out to the shop and look to see if it's stamped on the diode itself. (I just moved, and am building the shop... so, everything is still mostly boxed up).

35W HID isn't "high current". At most, it's a 7amp draw at startup which settles down to about a 4-5amp. The high current is from ballast to bulb, which your not tying into.

... in fact, on one install I stuffed the diode and light socket into a container just a tad bigger then a 35mm film container. Since your normally only using one side of the OEM socket (drivers for example) to connect the HID harness, you use the other socket for the diode (passenger side, in this example). Easy peasy.

For the projector(s)... On my Excursion, I used a Hella E55 projector. Not the easiest install, but doable. I now use the H1 since it's so much smaller, easier bulb to obtain, and installs/aligns easier. On my Tundra H1, and all the 7" round (Jeep) lights H1 as well.

Amperage goes down as voltage goes up.
The ballast puts out about 90 volts with
a 10 to 15 KV kicker to start the lamp.

It could be less running voltage. I have not
checked to see with the automotive HIDs.

You should be safe using a diode that is 1.5 X
the current of both lamps added together. That or
just use a 15 Amp rectifier diode.

It looks to be with all there stuff to. I had already bought the Jeg's Diodes to jumper my wiring to allow me to run my low's with Hi's, but again the Morimoto kit did it. I almost bought the wire harness you had suggested to me from Amazon, but the more I thought about it, the more it nagged at me that there had to be an easier way. And after a conversation with Brad (The Brad ) on FTE he mentioned to me that the Diode method would work for me, because I had separate Lo & Hi beams lenses. Anyhow, just wanted to catch yah up on how things had all worked out, and how well my lights work now with the new Morimoto Kit installed.
Thanks again.

Awesome! That is good to know that the Morimoto kit will do low+high out of the box. Looks like you've got some great lights now.

Those look great, as well as the light output! Which projectors did you have installed?
