im sick. YES! ill be at my parents house working on the bike and my brothers truck all day. maybe i can get it running for a small video clip to post up later.
I made use of the fine weather on Sunday and bolted the motorcycle vise into my van so I can bring the TS-100 back from the family's cabin in the Adirondacks.
I had only about half an inch to spare in getting the bolts to miss the floor joist square tubes.
Next on my list is a set of ramps for my deck height which I can't afford till after I get back from vacation (next pay check).
This is what I'm looking at:
Its twelve feet long and forty inches wide.

That doesn't look like a little Suzi front wheel.
Jeez that ramp could load a Rhino!
I usually just ride up a spruce 2x9 staging plank into the back of my pickup.
Dave,
You're closing on the big 2k, in fact you could make it this afternoon if you keep B.S.'ing.
What's the 'day shift' this Wednesday?
I'm committed up here until 11 and depending on traffic it takes 45 minutes or so down to Stamford.

Right-oh on that keen observation
I am planning for eh, future growth, ya, that's the ticket
My brother recently got a Harley, before that all he road was the TS-100, I'll take the vise out of the van and let him use it for his bike maintenance.

It's listed as only up to 1500 pounds , whereas its ten-footer sister is beefier at 2000 pounds.
I wonder how heavy a trike gets?

I have a short set of arched ramps up at the cabin plus a set of nominal 2x10 by 8ft (iirc) scaffold laminated planks with Ramp-Parts ends.
Both make for a steep climb and I am not that proficient a rider to just ride up a plank.
Also what goes up must come down , and I rather push the bike up the ramp into the van and walk it back down out of the van.
By the time I should ever get a heavier bike then I'll be up to riding it, as I certainly couldn't push it.
But I would still walk along side it as I take it out of the van.
The few times I've had the pleasure of the Suzuki in the back of the van, I found that it was dicey keeping the back wheel on a plank when walking along side the bike as I took it out of the van.
When I worked at Harley, the owners would ride their bikes back down their ramps and tip over when the rear wheel reached the pavement and thus lifted their feet momentarily off the ramp.
