I didnt see any pics ^^ there make sure you have enough keyboard fluid in that pc of yours if you run out it could get dangerous

Good late afternoon CT...it has been a glorious day in Western Massachusetts as well...temps in the mid 60s...mostly sunny!!! Apparently the weather is going down hill from here though.

I started up the laptop, and clicked on the internet explorer 7 desktop icon and the desktop turned shades of blue in horizontal stripes as though some distorted image and the machine froze.
I came back up in Safe Mode and ran Defrag a few times.
When I start up Normal, I don't get to the Profile choice screen. I see the Windows Starting and progress bar complete, then the machine freezes.

When I get back from vacation I'll start up in Safe Mode and load the XP CD in Repair mode and see if that fixes it.
Adaware might find something too, but again this all waits till after vacation.
