April B/S thread

good late morning. well lets see, truck went in for an oil change and fuel filter change today at 7am. well, i left there at 1030. apparently the fuel filter that was on there wasnt for my truck (WTF?) so the had to cut it off carefully to save the factory clips. and, the drain plug i had in there was not the original. the threads on the oil pan were basically stripped so awhile ago a GM dealership put some wingnut thing in there, and that broke today, so they had to wait on a new part. ugh.
but besides that, its ok...lol

Actually I was at the dealership today.
I had got up early to chauffeur my wife and after dropping my wife off my transmission went stupid again.
It fails to up-shift, and I'm left screaming on the entrance ramp at 4500 rpm.
Letting off the throttle will facilitate an up shift till I put some power back in.
This happened a couple months or so ago and the codes today are not the same.
The previous codes suggested that one of the solenoid ports was fouled with left over debris from before the rebuild.
Clearing the codes from the computer / shutting down the engine 'fixed' it the last time.
I'm hoping the same 'fix' worked today.
At the price of the AMS Oil ATF, it hurts to drop the deep-pan and refill.
I have five gallons of AMS Oil ATF sitting at the house, for 'just in case' as the rework is under the rebuild warrantee, but not the replacement of my choice of ATF plus the additional quantity I now hold over stock.
