My first few are going to have to go to taxes and registration on the blue beast.

Taxes in the great (said very sarcastically) state of CT are not low.

I'm hoping that since my name isn't the one on the title (so I can actually get insurance) I can get mom to spend time at DMV to register it since she legally owns the truck. I have it in writing that once I'm 18 the truck is mine though so there is guaranteed to be no funny business.

By my guessimations taxes on the truck are going to be 500-800 dollars before I can register it. It depends on whether they consider the truck old enough that they'll accept what the papers say it sold for or if they'll bluebook it and bang me for "excellent condition" even though it's good at best since it's got that bit of body damage.

 

Thats horrible...lol

 

Got a date for my license test.

May 1st. I've got to be at the place for 8am.

I've got to schedule one more on-road with an instructor now because they won't schedule your on-road until you have a test date.

The only things that are gonna suck are gonna be

1: I hate foreign cars. They have a little Subaru that I am going to be using.

2: The light/wiper/blinker controls are all screwy in those little cars. Not like a SD where you have one lever for blinkers/wipers/high beams and a little rotating **** for turning your lights on and off.

 

lol yeah we got a pretty good laugh out of it.

Man I had a good day today, got alot done, got all the lower bushings changed on my dump truck suspension, with hand tools!

It was really weird. I didnt get but maybe 30 seconds worth of rain but all the storm cells straddled me. Funnel cloud spotted in the next county over and one spotted in my county over a rather large neighborhood. I dont think either one touched down though. Hailed all over the place supposedly but the sun was shining here!

April fools virus is no joke, It hit me last monday, and destroyed my hard drive. Went to the lake Tuesday through Sunday. Been using a loaner laptop from IBM for the past week, and it is slower than a cold start without glow plugs. Daughter says I can only use "her" laptop for another minute or two........ My laptop should be back by thursday, and then I get to try to rebuild all my files for the las tyear. Sorry i havent read through the last 300-500 posts, so somebody sum it up for me. Ill check in tomorrow cause daughter says my time is up on "her" computer.

Older Pete's been hooked up to monitoring equipment to watch his heart.

Younger Pete has been talking about equipment, and buying parts for his truck.

Jacob got a job.

Brendan is packed up and should be en-route to his parent's house in Maryland.

Jay says it rained all day.

Jim is having a very dramatic weekend - his ex-wife is in town terrorizing him and J-L.

Sheldon knows he's hot and is fishing for compliments.

Nolan's been putting in extra hours, complaining about the heat there in California.

Mark has been taking pictures of girls in bikinis riding motorized coolers.

Tristan stayed home from work today and missed some awful weather and hail.

Brent has more business than he knows what to do with and has been staying extra busy.

Ed the parts guy is dealing with some drama too, but his daughters are doing well.

Chris wants to start a workout program but says he's too busy making donuts.

Danny sounds like he's doing okay over in the sandbox. Says its fun to work on trucks without a wife there to get mad at him.

Both Scott and I have a cold. I'm being a giant wiener about mine.

You missed that younger Pete is going to be going for a license test on May 1st.

Should have the actual license by the 4th or 5th since it's the DMV and it takes forever to do anything.
