Ya know, it occurs to me that I could buy the damned thing and deal with all the paperwork and hassle and just give it to ya, Lisa. Might be easier to transfer it to another Iowa resident.
You would do that, Doc? Buy a trailer and deal with all that? Pretty sweet of ya, you know? I'm not used to that.
I just got a note from the seller indicating he just sold the trailer. Looks like I'm rentin anyhow.
If you were not so dam far I've got two 16' enclosed trailers sitting
Nice of ya Ray. Brendan also offered up his enclosed trailer but I wasn't fond of the additional 1600 miles it would mean to go get it and drag it back here.

If I knew of someone going from CO out that way that could hook it up and drop it to you, it'd be a done deal. I figured fuel for the roundtrip would be about $300 which would still be cheaper that what you're paying to rent one.
If we could find someone in say, Nebraska, that was going most of the way...couple of handoff's later and it'd be there...well, you have my cell phone# and I have nothing planned for today.
I spent the day yesterday going to have lunch with my Dad.
He lives in Wenatchee, WA. and I live in Seattle, WA.
So we meet in the middle once a month, share a meal, and have some conversation.
On the way over I took some video of Steven's Pass.
And no my shifter doesn't sound that loud in real life.
The microphone picked it up 10x as loud for some reason. LOL.

I know it Brendan. I figured on the same cost. What I was also thinking about was the wear and tear on the truck and that at this moment in time if I were to have some type of failure I'd be hosed. Also I'd have to figure in two entire days of nothing but driving.
Only person I know in Nebraska right now is Randy, and he's in Omaha and not really one to offer to help me out these days . Life sucks sometimes.

Thanks for all the thoughts Brendan.
You have a hard time Lisa,
You def. do not want trouble on the road,
We had our rear end go out on the 99 F250 yesterday, Sucked limping it home down the back roads.
I could only imagine if it were in the middle of nowhere on a mountain road.
Good luck with the move, Just do a croaa country dash with the enclosed trailer. You should have no problems.

Sweet? Lemons all over the world just had a good laugh at that one, Lisa. But, if it would've helped ya out, yeah, I would have done it. Sorry it did'nt work out.
