all it took back in 96 was 24" of snow for our governor to declare a state of emergency to make leaving your house illegal for 2 days, except for emergency personnel.
that was 14 years ago!!
these days, anything over 1 inch and the idjiots play demo derby,
anything over 3 inches and they start playing chicken little.
steve i have no idea whats going on tomorrow
i mean if it snows i have work
matts area is looking at 12 inches plus so im thinking this is a bust again although i still need to do my exhaust
Jim if you've gotta cancel this weekend just wait 2 weeks and we'll do yours and Greg's all at the same time. We can have a race and see who can get their exhaust on faster.
So,, for an OT in the OT.. What would it take for this group to think about supplying themselves before a storm??
At least a foot, in my case. I generally have enough in the way of food to last me for a few days, depending on where we are in the month. I don't much care to go shopping, so I tend to stock up when I do go, once or twice a month. As far as cooking, well, if the power goes out I'd be in a pickle (electric stove) but I've lived on cold sandwiches and crackers before. Not being able to make coffee would make me not so nice to be around, but what the heck... I'm no prince anyway, and I generally have enough Coca-Cola around to pinch-hit for it. There's also usually a bottle of bourbon in the house, too, but if there's not I would'nt be making a special trip to get one.
I actually gave up cigarettes because I ran out when I was snowed in once. Talk about "not so nice"...

My father and I were stuck on the 90 in mass one time...we had plenty of go, 4x4 with 2500 lbs of tools in the back...but some 18 wheelers got stuck and we had to wait for the plows to clear the snow and ppull the trucks over the hill...3 hours...we had 1/8 tank of gas and dad had 3 cigarettes left...2 miles from the gas station...

Morning all. Not even a flake of the white stuff here this morning. So much for 1-3"
Anyways now it's off to go have breakfast and play on some go-carts (indoor track) with the CT chapter then maybe go ice skating with some buddies of mine.
