20,000 square feet @ 4" top soil would need about 244 cubic yards of material. At Pete's rate of $17/yard that's $4148 for material and $10,852 for labor.
At $25/yard it is $6100 for soil and $8900 for labor.
You'd need 185 yards @ 3".
the yard is now graded, we removed rocks after grading. you know the ones that just keep popping up. I wanted a smooth finish but really the only way to do that is to get some top soil to cover the rocky dirt.
the tractor guy charged me about $2,000 to graded it and did a good job covering the rocks, but with limited dirt you can only do so much, hence the rock raking party with myself.

You're talking about like 13 triaxle loads of material.
the top soil guys I spoke to said it would take approx 10-13 truck loads.
but 15K for dirt. I'm not paying that much.

Top O The Mornin to ya! (since I didn't get to say it yesterday).
It went incredibly well. I talked to several different people, I was there for two hours. They had me take this odd personality profile test, where they ask you a variety of aptitude test-type questions. I told the HR manager that I refused a job offer because I really wanted THIS job. He sat back in his chair and just looked at me, with the strangest expression on his face.
The sales manager, a guy from Peru, basically told me that he loved me and I was perfect and that I had the job. lol. He said his opinion was the only one that mattered.
They are bringing in three people for second interviews, so they have two other people they are considering. I am to expect a call on Friday.

I missed this somehow yesterday.
My day is going okay so far, thanks for asking. Took Chase to work and laughed at him most of the ride, not very nice of me but when you wear Top Gun sunglasses you better expect to be laughed at. The girls call him Elvis and I call him Goose. Ugh, time to clean again......

You should see what Seth Rogan said about that scene in Sarah Marshall. He was interviewed in this months issue of playboy. YES...I read the damn thing!
Sounds like we will be losing Lisa during the day now....

EDIT-(Now thats confidence at work right there, saying that with these guys.)
I hope so. He called me almost 1st thing this morning. I sent all my info to him around 9 last night and he said he liked my "goals and ambitions" letter I typed up and sent to him as well.
The guy told me he has stretched himself way too thin and cant handle the management aspect and the maintenance/repair thing at once. I think I might have it only because I did the management thing WHILE being a maintenance tech too so I can relate to him a little better.
