Prayers needed...
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
The reason for the lack of updates is because there really had been nothing to update. The prayers we have been sending up to our Lord in Dan's name have been working and Dan and his family have been enjoying life and each other.
Dan has made a video for the Pancreatic Cancer folks talking about his disease and his battle. He has been a very strong advocate for the PanCan foundation as well as he takes a lot of his own time to talk with other folks battling Pancreatic cancer.
Well that kind of changed here recently and we are in need of more prayers for Dan and his family.
While Dan was out on his motorcycle to Pennsylvania visiting family members he came down with some very acute abdominal pain. The kind that will double a person over. He was 500 miles from home with no way to get home...thankfully thru God his in-laws happened to be near him also visiting relatives and were able to drive him back to Fort Wayne. The roller coaster ride for the past 3+ weeks has been incredible but last night they discovered the abdominal pain was due to many many tumors that have grown in his abdominal cavity. They say this is just another "normal" progression of the cancer that he is fighting. The tumor at the Pancreas has been in check thru his medication and treatment cycle but apparently the cancer has been spreading within his body undetected and that is simply astonoshing since he gets scans and treated all the time...I'm not sure how they have missed this but Dan is in serious pain right now and has another angle of this disease making a full frontal assault on his body. PRAYERS ARE NEEDED MY FRIENDS...you folks have been amazing in your support and I ask for more now.
Please say a prayer for Dan Harhigh and lift his name up to our Lord that our Lord may help to heal Dan from within and give Dan's doctors the wisdom to administer the right treatment thru our Lord's power and your prayers.
The family has requested no visitors due to how weak Dan has become from not eating since he has had so much abdominal pain. Dan is an absolute inspiration to so many people with how he has taken on this challenge laid at his feet. He has never once lost his sense of humor and his tenacity he has shown during this battle is simply amazing. He and his wife have continued to be so open with the information and share it with all thru the Caringbridge website which is a blessing for all of us but we know how hard it is to muster the energy sometimes to share that information so consistently with everyone and we know how much of a blessing this is. To watch the two of them take this on and with such openess and a positive attitude is just a blessing for us all...and a true inspiration to be a part of this journey and witness to what has happened over the past nearly 3 years...3 years for a pancreatic cancer patient is unheard of...PRAYERS and God's grace have gotten us this far...and our Faith will continue to keep us going...
I ask once again for your support and prayers...I have been witness to just how powerful prayer is thru a tragic accident in my own life so please join me once again in lifting Dan's name up to our Lord.
I will continue to keep you all informed of the progress and status on Dan's health.
Thank you all for being one of Dan's prayer warriors...
Your friend in Christ,
Joe.
I'm making a pilgrimmage with my three young sons to Our Lady of Good Help in Wisconsin on Friday. I will ask the Mother of Mercy to take our collective petitions before her most holy Son and i will pray for his complete recovery.
With God, nothing is impossible.
Tony
