You've likely just detected an intermittent GPR!

Time to start looking for a quality replacement.

For long-term dependability, consider that Stancor one.

Isn't it neat how these add-on self-diagnostic tools really help?

That's no joke!! My other one took a crap on my late last summer/early fall when I was having trouble getting it started in temps between 40-50*. I had an extra used stocker on the shelf that I put on it and it's gotten me this far. So you're right on the money about looking for a quality replacement. I'm going to be doing some shopping for one in the next few weeks.

Are there any relays out there that have the same specs as the Stancor but would mount more like stock? Would one like the air intake heater relay work? Where could I find the specs on the AIH relay?

Nice find Neal!
Ryan- if there is a Western snow plow dealer in your area stop in and ask them for that part #, maybe you'll get lucky and find one.

Can we CA guys do this for our glow plug module? Are the instructions any different for the non-49 state model guys?

Thanks.

If you have the GPCM like the Ex has then you are out of luck I'm afraid.

Thanks for the link Neal. I'll see about tracking one down tomorrow. Heading out of the office to visit customers for the afternoon. I think there is a western plow place here in town.

Neal- used the link and found another link in that thread that took me to one that Chase started. I really liked the one Monsterbaby installed from NAPA. Direct bolt-on, just taller than the stock GPR but with the same specs as the Stancor. Priced it and the local store and they want $64 for the dang thing. The Stancor's $50ish but I don't like the way it mounts. The stock gpr-109 was $34 and the gpr-110 is $94!!! Either my napa is screwing people or these puppies aren't the price they used to be.

Ryan- I need to go to Napa today, I'll see what kind of price I can get on the ST36. I need to buy another quart of $15 snow plow pump oil

Thanks man!! Let me know what you find out. Chris (aldridgec) in Baltimore said he got one in January and it was $44 and change + tax. Still considerably less than what this place quoted me here!
