GPR LED mod
Can someone please tell me the use for the GPR LED mod? And give me some directions so that I can put into my f650 dash.

Short answer- allows you to see visually, inside the cab, when your GP's are on. No light = GPR took a dump on you (or the fuse blew or wiring melted...)

you'll be amazed how long the GPR LED actually stays on after your WTS light goes off.

That is if your GPR is working like it should!!
I need to round up the stuff to do this. Maybe this weekend while I'm working on everything else.

I am going to use a little bit bigger light than the small LEDs that you guys used. Its one that I got from work. Is the inline fuse really needed?

Yep, cheap insurance. If something goes wrong the fuse pops. Without a fuse, the wire can burn up and set other things on fire...

This is one of the most inexpensive mods that you can do. Add that to the fact that it is a great troubleshooting tool also.

I didn't use a small LED either, in the pic below you can see what size mine is. Its the far left orange light.

I just came back from Radio Shack and picked up a couple of the LED's. Figure on installing the GPR one this weekend.

If you utilize the customer access wires this install might take you less than 30 minutes!

If you've already got gauges installed then you won't save much time by using those wires, just poke your single wire through the hole you drilled for the gauges.
