Hey all - Anyone running the bladwin 1212 -fuel filter - How often do you change them. Also how often do you change the filter in the engine. I assume the baldwin will save the engine filter some grief and prolong filter life there. Thanks
I run the Fleetguard BF1212 filter...great filtration (better than the Baldwin). Anyway, I change that filter AND the underhood fuel filter once a year, the same day I flush the tranny and power steering.
I must be missing something, are there 2 fuel filters on my truck? I only ever change the one on top of the engine.
No, unless their was one installed, aftermarket. Besides the fuel-water seperator filter that we have, you can also install an in-line fuel filter before the fuel pump on the frame rail(like 6.0,s have) and I think one up top before the fuel bowl, not sure before or after though, somebody will chime in that has one...

Reason: Aftermarket

This is for people that have added the "Hutch" mod. You need to add a filter in-line on the frame rail before the pump because the mod removes the filter from inside the tank. Then you would have the filter on the rail and the one in the fuel bowl.
