I cruise at 65-70 and get 18mpg. Are you diesel? Going 15mph slower is well worth the cost for me.
Yeah I am a diesel, my DRW CC 4X4 tends to get the mpgs on the low side for the 6.0.....around town and high speed highway driving, with rush hour traffic added in for good effect, i average 12 mpg or so....
Driving to florida once I averaged 79.5 mph over 980 miles, including 2 stops, so yes my average traveling speeds were higher, and I still averaged 12 mpg.....
Another time traveling home to PA from Florida, I stopped just across the SC/NC border in NC and filled up, traffic was heavy and was a constant 55-60 all the way till I got north of DC, that tank I got about 19 mpg somehow, but those 650+ miles at those speeds drove me crazy, let alone I only stopped once in a 1000 mile trip.....my butt was hurtin lol.
Had a Volvo S60R a few cars back. With the computer done it had 340HP. All wheel drive, active suspension, six speed. I got it to 145 and thought that was enough. Later on, my wife started driving it work. She got out at midnight each night and one clear night broke my record. Was so giddy when she got home she woke me up. I thought I was getting lucky. Instead I got a story about how she broke my record and hit 150...
