I have been paying attention to the new Camaro, like most of America, and I simply think it is ugly as sin. It looks like a horrible cross between the Mustang and Challenger. It, imo, looks like one of the ugliest cars ever to hit production, along with cars such as the Nissan Cube and Pontiac Aztek. I also think that after all the hype is gone, sales will drop, along with the Challenger, really bad. They just aren't the cars to release right now in the current state we are all in. Plus the fact that the Mustang is still KING OF THE PONIES!!!!
Im not too fond of the new camaro either, never liked the 94-02 series either. If i had to choose i would go for the 82-93 style. The challenger is an awesome lookin car, but its a mopar. Thank goodness we have the Mustang!
I think the Camaro looks good, but I'd still pick the 2010 Mustang over it. Too bad the interior of the Camaro looks so awful, the 2010 Mustang easily has the best interior out of the bunch.
Saw the Mustang at the auto show. Didn't go looking for the other two.
It's a nice looking car and I really like the looks of '05 and up as well.
I've seen 3 Challengers on the street--Sharp sharp sharp looking car. As indicated, too bad it's a Mopar and may not live to see its 1st birthday the way things are going.
Have not seen the Camaro yet, but the pics look over done iirc, imo, ymmv.
I love the 82-93 Camaros, especially the front ends, as thats all I used to see of them in the rear view mirror of my 5.0 GT Mustangs!.......Seriously, I think GM blew it on this one, Its not as good looking as the Mustang or the Challenger.
The new camaro looks like a bag of smashed butt holes. The challenger is the real deal, just over weight at 4,200 pounds. Niether one of then can put up the numbers like the shelby. So they better pick on the loney GT untill it gets it;s new 5.0 and the V-6 gets the ecco-boost 3.5.
Dude You better get Your head out of Fords butt, for a minute. Gm has 415 HP just sitting on the shelf. And, 4200 lbs is in NO way considered light.
310 HP direct-injected 3.6-liter dohc V-6
All-aluminum 6.2-liter V-8
426 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque
GM has enlisted Lingenfelter to produce factory packages up to 550 HP. And a Lingenfelter shop package up to 800 HP.
With GM on taxpayer life support, do you think the Camaro wont be killed? While I agree the exterior styling is not very close to the original, like the Challenger and current Mustang, the dashboard, like it or not, looks very much like the original 1967.
Why do I have to get my head out of fords butt, apparently you don't no what kind of numbers the shelby mustang makes. I said the challenger was heavy at 4,200 pounds, but it still looks awesome, very retro. The camaro would still be ugly if it made 900 hp. I would rather be a pretty looser than an ugly winner. It wouldn't be a problem in the shelby GT 500 KR, as it's closing in on the 600 hp mark and is a beautifull car to boot. When the mustang gets the ecco-boost 3.5 V-6, it will be 345 hp and the hp of the new 5.0 hasn't been anounced, but if the V- is 335 hp, that ought to tell you something. So go pedal your camaro lust on a chevy site before GM goes bankrupt and the goverment gets tired of proping them up. Maybe ford wil buy them for 10 cents on the dollar. Then ford could use the new camaro as big foot fatter at the monster truck rallie's hee hee!! I love the ford -vs- chevy rivalary, it never gets old ha ha.
"O", by the way, Roush was playing with a 7 liter mustang that made 800 hp and runs off of E-85. Linginfelter my butt. The best thing that ever came out of chevy was thier emplyee's on strike ha ha ha!!!!!!!! Horse power don't make up for ugliness. In stead of hiring Linginfelter to find them some more hp, they need to hire some real designers that can design a good looking car. If uglyness could kill, everyone at GM would be dead ha ha ha. I gotta stop, by sides can't take anymore.
