I've been looking at this mod here and at a couple of other sites. I think I can do it on a budget by fabing, trading, and junkyarding. My questions are 1) Is this setup any different than a FASS or AirDog mfg one? 2) Does this setup remove air like FASS or AirDog? 3) After seeing the homemade setups and the costs, aren't FASS or AirDog cheaper? 4) What am I missing other than the enjoyment of creating your own setup? Thanks to any/all who answer my Q's.

i was actually wondering what to use to remove the air.. not sure if the CPR system removes air or not.

Crash1, that red mojig on top of the engine is the fuel pressure regulator. that one is an aeromotive unit and is adjustable. the factory system runs around 50psi of fuel pressure and we want ours around 65-70psi, but you can up the fuel pressure of a stock system very very very very cheap. one on the framerail is the pump he used. not sure what brand it was, but most of us use factory pumps out of super dutys with 7.3L's. you can also use dual super duty pumps for extra large injectors and what not

Nope, the CPR is not an air separator. The only two that I know of are the AirDog and the FASS. They are both lift pumps that make less than 20 psi and to use them on a PSD you'd have to use a 2nd pump inline to bring the pressure up to 60-65 psi. On an OBS truck you'd also need to use a 3 port fuel valve so that you could return the air/fuel to whatever tank you were drawing off of.

They show you a good chart here, but it is missing a little info. I'd say that if you knew the specifications for the switch you could get it.

You'll need to figure out what you want the setpoint to be, thread size/pitch, number/type/style of electrical connection, a diaphragm that's diesel/bio compatible, and voltage/amperage requirements.

If you can feed that info to the switch people they'll probably have it.

I was thinking about buying the beans system, but if i can put this system together for 600 dollars. I can use it as an article on my websight, as well take a bunch of good pictures for everyone.

Yep... Someone posted a hot link in the thread I started yesterday.

I guess I was trying to determine the real differences between Beans and CPR....

william, you can definitely do this for less than 600, I did it for just a touch over 500, it is a nice upgrade from stock, and you know the best thing??? no fuel leaks!!!!

Ben, do you have a complete parts list?
I'll probably grab a bigger pump than you did. I wanna go overkill, but not like. 300cc injector overkill. haha.
I might just go with the super duty pump.
