Last night my pride and joy was taken. Heard the truck start, it had the alarm on, bolted out the door to see my truck and another f350 right behind him. Got a good look at the P.O.S. but couldn't get the plate from the second truck, covered in snow. I have a feeling it's not coming back. It was taken around the FT Mcmurray area (ANZAC) . If anyone sees it call the local authorities. Thanks
It's distinctive. Which will be both good and bad. If kids took it for a joy ride, then someone will notice it. Unfortunately, because it's unique, professionals will most likely take it apart to reduce the risk of it being noticed.
If it were me, I make a flyer with the picture, your Detective's Name and Phone Number to post around town. It wouldn't hurt a thing to take a few of those to the local PD/SO and hand them out after briefings.
Already on it. Printing as I type. What they do is send some punks up to here from Edmonton jacking vehicles and bringing them back. Lots of easy pickings up here, cold weather, trucks running all night etc. Mine wasn't running, but they must have wanted it pretty bad.
That's too bad. It's a nice looking truck and it looks like you have spent a lot of money and time on it. Hope you get it back in one piece. Like you said, you can't have anything nice anymore. Good luck.
Do you know what they are doing with them up there? Have you considered a reward? I wouldn't go above your insurance co-pay, but it never hurts to give a little incentive.
REAX, the cop told me they average 10 similar vehicles a week from the surrounding area. He is pretty sure they are taking them back to Edmonton to part out. 400kms away. I am a ways from town, but they scope out the camp sites etc. looking for trucks to lift. I will be offering a reward to get it back in one piece. I don't have my hopes up though.
Wow man. Really sorry to hear. I almost think it's worse if you get it back. Like it's been violated. I hope the scum get caught though. Wouldn't you love a few minutes alone with them!
Would I, that doesn't happen too many times. I hope they catch them too. The truck, well it is replaceable, but lots of time into it really hurts. After them running the crap out of it, I doubt I would want it back.
It is more of an pain than anything. That is my work truck, now I am heading into town, go see the police, rent a truck. I am going to rent a pinto, if they want it, come and get er....
