Turbo Light
Where to start, my turbo light turned on a few weeks ago its normaly on, but once in awhile it will go off and i can feel the turbo kick all the way in but then it starts surging uncontrolably until the light comes back on any suggestions?
I also cant get my oil pan to seal at the back of my engine, I am pulling the engine to replace the pan and get a good seal hopefully, with that being said what shall I trie, to figure out what the hell is goin on with my turbo, im also changing out my glow pugs while the engine is out, any notes on what to do or not to do while changing them?
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya got to give us more info then that...
1. What turbo light?
2. How do you know your oil pan is leaking, this is very rare.
3. Glow plugs are easy, deep well thin 1/4 drive socket will fit right in there.

What Joe is saying is that 99% of the time, the leak is coming from above, and runs down the back of the block. Usually collects around the pan & drips out the trans weep hole. When I did my first OC, I saw all the oil on the back of the block & freaked. Then I got on the 'net, found this site, and found out that the oil was coming from the top of the engine. Actually from the orange boots under the intake spider from the crank case vent putting oily vapors into the turbo to get pressurized in the intake system & out the boots. The next most common things are the turbo pedestal O-rings or EBPV actuator arm. Mine started leaking, but I yanked it out before it got too bad.
So before you yank your engine, make darned SURE it's the pan. Also, make sure your GPs are bad. Could be the relay or the harness. Very common issues...
Where are you located, BTW?
