see it has something to do with the light though when the light is on i dont have full boost, and when the light goes off it hits really hard and then it acts like it looses fuel and then hits really hard again not just a surge but doesnt stop until the light comes back on

im trying to fugure out what light it is cause whatever it is it has something to do with what my problem is

Sounds like you are overboosting and then the truck is going into defuel.

Edit: With out a boost fooler of some sort when you get over 22lbs of boost the truck sets a code and then de-fuels.

On the 02-03 and up its a motor shape and a "check" inside it.

Is it directly left of the E on the fuel gauge? Also do you have a manual for the truck?
