mark, water is the trick. and another thing it is good for is weight loss. drink 1/2 liter of water before you eat, and you will need less food to feel full.
i drink at least 4 liters of water a day since i gave up soda and coffee 5 years ago after the heart surgery.
i lost 35 lbs in the first 3 month i cut out sugars and caffeine.
And therein lies the effin trouble. I've been sipping water all day long now and have not pissed once. Which will lead to only one thing, getting up and pee'n probably about once an hour all night long. Do you have any idea how miserable that is?

I wish that were my problem. I am 50 or 60 pounds too light now.
More than most people are capable of drinking. The first time I was in the desert I was with a guy that was so scared of becoming dehydrated he drank so much water that he threw up. Then he got scared he lost too much fluid, so he drank a lot more water and threw up again.
I quite drinking coke's (Dr. Pepper) 20 something years ago when I went through boot camp. Wasn't allowed to have any for 3 months, and just never started drinking them again. I wasn't allowed to have beer either, but I picked that one back up pretty quick.
Try Publix, Chris. I used to get their handmade deli subs all the time!! Damn. Now I'm jonesing for a Publix sub!!!
There is a Publix right up the street but they close at 10 pm, and last night it was about 3 am when I went for food.

I have been laughing about it for years. I am using one of those Brita pitchers and filters. Next long drive I take I will fill up a bunch of bottles with that stuff. But when I meet up with Jim and Chris in Florida I will probably be due for a beer or 2.
I have a Brita also and I really like it alot.

You can drown in about a teaspoon's worth, under the right conditions... but that's not what you were asking about. Here's how it happened:
Soldier was injured in an event, and in a hot, humid area. He was fighting a fever due to infections, but they were being handled by antibiotics. The problem was that they were sweating. Profusely. When you sweat, you lose salt & other essential minerals; electrolytes too. Without those minerals & electrolytes, your systems get to an imbalance. Some water is necessary here, but something like a Gatorade is needed as well. No gatorade was allowed to be administered, just straight water. More water flushed the man's systems faster... and he died from getting too much water. His systems shut down because those other essentials were literally washed away.
Finally the holiday running is over with... now I have so many presents for my little girl we are going to fill the closet up. Its rough having the only baby in both families right now lol.
My brakes have started to grind now though just started today I had my front wheel off a months ago and the pads still looked good and now with just over 1500 miles since then they are grinding away.
Yeap..............but I was just thinking about this quitting smoking. This is the first time I've ever quit smoking and not continued with the beer. No matter how much I may like beer, Hell, I love beer. I am not going to jeopardize my smoking cessation. Will have to play this one by ear.
