No luck but I got word that this spring I might get a job at a small local feed store/ grain elevator delivering seed to farmers. Spring cant come quick enough.
Sorry to hear that Jacob. I'll keep my fingers crossed fr you to land that one in the spring.
I was there in August of 06. Our cruise stopped at Juneau where we went on the Mendenhall and in Ketchikan we went salmon fishing. It's pretty incredible what you can see up there.
All the years I've spent in Alaska all but one were working trips. But in '03 my dad and I spent 6 weeks up there as tourists. Money was no object. We went to every tourist trap town you could think of, even Nome, where the only way in in the summer time is by air. But my favorite tourist trap of all was Skagway. Do not ever make a trip up there as a vacation without fitting in Skagway!!
Yeah Brent!! I'm lovin' it so far.. aren't you!?!? lol I hear we are in for some more!!
I'll eventually get caught up with all the posts.. maybe tomorrow though..
I do love it, just not when the little one is crying all the way home from Seattle...Thats a long crappy drive anyways, let alone with snow, ice and tears....
But we are safe and sound here at home so let it snow!!!! Hope you had a good Christmas yourself!!
today i think is a hike with the pups... not sure where, but they'll LOVE it! i have to hit the stores & return a few things today, like this corny hat my lil sis got me for xmas - last year she got me a gift card and it took me until October to use it! ah well... i've got just about everything i want/need from REI anyway...
I've never driven an Audi Quattro but I have heard they are awesome in the snow. Thing that keeps me from them is repair bills. I like Subarus and am looking for a 2001-ish Outback Sedan. If I get the 6-cylinder, then a donor car, I can have the only Outback Sedan with the H-6 engine and a 5-speed stick!! Then lift it with some better struts/springs... yeah baby... my old 97 Outback wagon had 10" of ground clearance.... hehehe
