OT Thread Part 1

Howdy everybody.......just got back from Best Buy. Not many things on sale today, but I did get a itrip thingy for my ipod. The wifes SUV & my Mustang don't have plugs for Ipod, so now I can listen in those vehicles......not too sure about the sound quality so far though, the signal seems weak! Best Buy was PACKED! Ohhh.....have I ever mentioned that the boy/girl ratio here in Albuquerque is 3 to 1 women? I needed some mirrored sunglasses!

Dan, I drank V8 Fusion Peach/Mango for the first couple of hours yesterday morning and then switched to filtered tap water right up until bedtime. Strange thing about all that water was that I did not feel like I had to pee all day long, nor when I went to bed at 10:00, but I did wake up at 1:45 having to ****, then it was nearly once every hour the rest of the night. That really sucks. I made an appointment with a Dr. today to see what he can do about that.
Is your tap water so bad that one of these simple little Brita systems I have wont work? I probably would not drink tap water either, unless thats all that was available at the time.
) and the last night we were back in Ketchikan. We took the glacier tour in Juneau, and went to Medenhall. Mendenhall Glacier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I have pictures of me laying on the galcier and drinking from the stream on my desktop, I will try to get them loaded up on the laptop so I can post them.I would love to go back to Alaska one day, that is god's country up there!
Cris, glad you didnt hurt that pretty lil mug of yours on the quads...

Dan- I'm sorry but the North End Kenmore/Bothell/Lake City side roads are horrible down there, we had to stay last night as well because I didnt want to risk getting stranded. Not like its your fault though...hahaha!
I love me some tequila, including tequila cream for coffee. Now thats good, if you have ever had it, you know. If you havent, it just sounds gross.
Beer pong- my single employee has beer pong every night nearly. Only rules-guy or girl, you MUST have a beer and be TOPLESS, no exceptions. Beer pong is a spectator sport right??

Great pictures to you all, some great ones in here. Cute little guy Scott!
Travis, your avatar is the best!
I love me some red bull and vodka, also love water, and V8 spicy...
I have about a coke with ice every day, have since I was a kid.
Bellingham has awesome water, straight outta the tap, its great.
Cris- next time you go to Alaska any chance you have a layover in Sea-Tac?
The glacier walking sounds so fun. Pictures I hope!!??Sounds like we are all in great health and in good spirits, except the grinch.....lol
babybunny, Merry Christmas to you too! lovely weather we are having...
We took my wifes 02' blazer down for Christmas, more room for us, baby, dog and presents. We couldnt bring all our gifts back with us because someone decided Claire needed 2 huge rockin' horses...lol
So Christmas eve we are heading back from the grandparents and going up a decent hill and I look at the side of the road and my bro in law is sideways in the ditch with his 2 kids. (2 months and a 2 1/2 year old,) so I figure, sure, the one time I dont have my truck...I pull over, luckily we are only about 700' from his house. Everyone was fine, so we pulled the kids out, I of course get the sick 2.5yr old, screaming, kicking and snotting all over my shoulder, and pack her all the way to the house up hill, because she has decided that walking is no fun anymore...ugh..kids. Anyways, we get that over with and go dig the suv out, and then my bil manages to get it stuck again while turning around. At this point I said "look man, I'm going to get us a couple beers and a tow strap, and be back with the blazer." So I did, hooked onto him with the little blazer with the 4.3 and yanked his *** outta the ditch and all the way up to his front door. oh yeah! I told him he was lucky I didnt have my truck cause I would have done it in 2 wheel drive and peppered his windshield full of snow and ice for his efforts!!
Now I'm going to go open my gifts from the family because in between all this, sick kids, stuck cars, what have you, I didnt get to open a single gift.....
I feel better now, thanks for letting me share!!! I'm so glad the OT is back and going strong, and its a lot easier to check from my cell phone when its on the home page! Weird being gone, I missed all you guys....Extended family for sure...
Sorry, Brent.
What Dan said...give it a lil bit of time. Any stimulant is addicting...caffeine, nicotine, meth...lol...youll be fine afterwhile!
Waterfall...didnt think Id ever meet anyone else thats been there besides my dad. He went during his midlife crisis with all his bestfriends. King salmon and halibut. I think it was almost 10 years ago and we still have frozen fish...no way in hell Id eat it now!
My family have been waterfall regulars for many years, my aunt and uncle (who took us all there) have been 8 times, my mom has been 4x, dad and brother have been 2x but this was my first time! My family also goes to Sitka to fish but say Waterfall is the best since you are on a deserted island.
Pete, I have to say that you have a great head on your shoulders but for only being 16, you are way to serious. You sound like I did at 16, always thinking like a grown up and loaning money to my family. I lost out on most of my childhood and hope that doesn't happen to you, hope you have some time to be a kid and enjoy it!!
When we went to Alaska last year we took a helicopter tour of a glacier. At the end of it they landed on it and we got out and walked around for a couple mins. There was a little stream running through the glacier so I laid down on the ice and drank from it. Let me tell you how cold it is to lay down on it and stick your face in the stream but that was the best water I have ever had, if I could find something like that in a bottle I would pay just anything for it

.
That sounds like some great tasting water!

The only vehicle that I have that will make it through is the Audi Quattro with studded snow tires X4. The truck has street tires and until this morning was stuck behind my Jetta which has about 5 inches of ground clearance and surrounded by 12 inches of snow!
The truck does "OK" in the snow, but ice is another story, it would slip sideways off of the crown of a road. Not good.
I finally got it dug out and swapped the two around so that I can drive the truck to work on Monday.
The Audi just makes it's own road through the stuff, leaving belly marks where ever it goes. I think the only thing that would stop the Audi is snow that is so deep that it would high center on the snow and lift the wheels off the ground.
I've been having lots of fun out running 4x4 pickups that think they are bad a$$ in snow.

Just gas it and they are looking at my tailpipe.
I absolutely HATE crowds. The mall is my kryptonite. Plus I just can't see the point in sitting around all day. It bores the heck outta me.
The whole point of the 7.3 is to have fun with it though. It'll pull a trailer so it has a purpose, but it'll also be pretty quick when it wants to be. Yay diesels and DP Tuners. Hopefully the truck will get a DP by this time next year.
