I guess I got you confused with another thread I am posting on I thought you had a 300.

For a 351 there are much better options then Pacesetter. I would take a look at Hedman headers they are a great company that makes a great product here in the USA and are priced well. Take a serious look at there Elite series there more expensive but well worth it, they use thicker material in both the tubes so they don't rust through and sound less tinny, and the flanges are twice as thick so they seal better and don't warp, and of course the ceramic coating is the best investment anyone can make in there headers.

There's others to consider Hooker, Flowtech and Holley are the same company but the product is very differant. Edelbrock isn't worth it for your truck. The shiznit when it comes to ford headers is L&L but there pricey. Doug Thorely, EIE, Thunderbird, same company and not worth bothering with.
There's more but why bother.

Bottom line I would buy the Hedman Elites there very cost effective and will last a long time. Hedman makes a header for a 95 but don't list a 96. I can't see why what could the differance possably be take a look, part # 89278

Did I mention Remflex gaskets? There the best header gaskets I have ever seen check them out ther all I use I won't ever even bother with the ones tha come with the headers. http://www.remflex.com/

Almost all of the header companies differentiate 95 from 96 anyone know what changed from 95 to 96 that would effect a header? This makes me worry that the Pacesetters are the same they just don't relize the same problem the other better companies do, and won't work.

On summitracing.com alone I noticed that they have many different longtube header options for the 95 F250. But only one (Pacesetter) for the 96 F250. Will I be safe getting the ones for the 95 or what? I wanna make sure they will fit.

I'm not sure yet we need to find out what the differance is from 95 to 96. I'm thinking that the 95 from Hedman is still the best header and that the Pacesetter will be no differant then the Hedman (same 95 to 96 problem) Pacesetter just doesn't care enough to pay attention to the differances from 95 to 96 and lists one header for all. Bottom line we need to find out what changed in 96. Chances are it doesn't matter and is just some legal emissions differance.

I ran a set of pacesetters on a 86 bronco 302, that was in the late 80s. sold the rig in 05 they were still on it with no problems. No one I personally know has ever had problems with pacesetter headers.

95 to 96 differences in OBD2. Depending on where ur O2 sensors are you might have to add bungs onto the pre 95 ones. Mine are Flowtechs

That's it, so 95 has one O2 sensor and 96 has two one on each side. Well that's easy to deal with.

If I uderstand this right in 95 there is only 1 O2 sensor, it's on the left side. In 96 there is 2 O2 sensors, one on each side. (check your truck look for the O2 sensors) Someone correct me if I'm in any way incorrect

So the solution is very simple Hedman sells collector reducers that have O2 bungs in them just buy and use these. The Elite hedders use a ball and socket flange (a much better system) so you need #21134 for a 3" outlet or #21117 for 2-1/2" outlet (outlet is size of pipe used after the header to the Y-pipe) 2-1/2" is probably best.

You might be wrong and right. For obd2 it monitors the cat vs just the exhaust fumes. So it should be an 02 before the cat and after the cat, so you wont be able to remove the cat unless you get a mil elimitor. Tells the comptuer that the cat is there when it really isnt.

By my recalection ODBII (96) has a total of three O2 sensors one in each manifold and one after the cat. He has all three and has said he is keeping his cat so the one behind the cat can be retained with no problems. Correct?
