Deep Tone Muffler
Hello guys I have the gibson dual extreme exhaust on my 1999 F-250 5.4L v8 gas.
I was wondering what would you guys recommend for a loud deep tone muffler as the gibson dual extreme exhaust system just makes it louder without the deep tone. So I would like to switch the mufflers over. I know that being loud would get me in trouble but it wont be for road use so. Any recommendations for a deep tone loud muffler?

Hey thanks a few questions though. What size muffler do I need in order to fit the Gibson dual extreme pipes and where would be the best place to buy the muffler online? Also where to buy the 4 inch tips? Thanks.

I guess order by whatever size pipe and wherever the inlet/outlet are. you may end up getting some 3" exhaust tubing and welding a small section in, where are you located? I have a 4 ft section im not using. I got my tip from Meneike(sp?) or w/e the hell the muffler place is called. Its just a chrome steel, it was like 40 bucks I think.

flowmaster 10 series or Cherrybomb extreme. single chamber mufflers about the loudest (one of the deepest) you can get while keeping legal, if you have a muffler requirement.
but there alot of satisfied people using 40 series muffler but it all comes down to personal preference.

ive heard the flowmaster 40 on all different kinds of engines and the sound never disappoints me. especially if you dont have a cat. i wouldnt really worry about it being too loud, i dont know anyone with a truck thats been pulled over for the exhaust. the cops where i live only mess with ricers
