I have a Magnaflow and removed the resanator at the end. I am about to install a set of JBA headers and will use the same muffler setup.

No it IS a replacement tank, 47 gallons, the original tank is gone and the Transfer-Flow is installed. I should have done it years ago.

So you have 47 gals ready to go and it works with your gas gage and trip meter?

It does pretty good except the real fuel level when the "low fuel" ding comes on, there's about 15 gallons left so one can disregard the absolute urgency to get gas. I usually fill at 1/4 tank anyway, so I don't worry about that. The reason I know, is when it was installed, I had about 15 gallons in my stock tank that they put back into my new Transfer-Flow tank, so I can judge what the computer thinks is there. Hope that makes sense.

Are you using the stock gas fuel opening on the side of the trick still?

Yes, same stock fuel pump fits right in as well as the filler. I believe there is a good Youtube showing the whole process. It may be on a diesel, but the process is the same. I remember watching it before I got mine installed.

On my 99 I used a Borla cat-back. Had a nice roar. On my 2005, I opted to just replace the muffler with a Dynomax Super Turbo #17792. The tail pipe is 3" mandrel so no need to change that. It had a nice roar as well. These V10s will not sound like a V8, more like an Indy car.

Pappy I'm interested on that tank as well, as far as muffler I removed a magnaflow and installed a dynomax VT muffler, I kept the resonator and it sounds GREAT when you punch it yet at cruise and part throttle its almost like stock and NO drone does not have that 6 bangerish sound like it had with the magnaflow, before my engine siezed a week or so ago I towed my 30' weekend warrior toyhauler and not one bit of drone.

Flowmaster FM70BB2 or FM50BB in stainless. Had several different mufflers and the Flowmaster sounds the best by far.

I really didn't care one way or the other, Magnaflow or Flowmaster, I just wanted to get rid of that damn HISSSSSSS. My Magnaflow works fine for me, sounds good and very little drone.

After listening to many V-10s audio clips on You Tube I went with the Aero Turbine 3030. Sounds fantastic, no drone and definately not like a ricer. There are others here on FTE that are happy with theirs. Second choice would have been a Flowmaster big block.
