Id say with the rod fully extended its open like the picture?
Does anyone agree thats what it looks like?

I wired it the other way and took it for a drive..........stepped on it and it snapped my head against the back window (just about).
Thanks to everyone who gave ideas and advise but hopefully Im going again on this one.
The only thing is it seems harder to start now , it turns over way longer than it used to.
Im thinking maybe there still some air from the o-ring change?

Glad to hear that you fixed it, this was a long thread, and I can imagine how did you feel.
Maybe you have to drive at least 30-40 miles to purge the air out.

drive it hard to purge all the air, takes a while sometimes, i'm glad it is running good for you. now we have to get the 02 up and running

Glad that's all it was and just think of all the preventive maintenance you performed. Well that's the way I'd look at it. I believe I'll be performing some preventive maintenance on mine before I figure out my problem.

Anyone need there house moved?
My truck runs great.
I put my Evalution out of my 02 into the 94 and does it ever haul.
Almost unbelivable to go from a truck that was barley pulling itself to something thats fun to drive.
