Ford Quality
He could of always sued him. Would have won no problem.
I'd buy a Hyundai before I'd buy either a Honda or a Toy. Excellent quality, less expensive and a much more comrehensive warranty.
Thumbs up to Ford, it's awesome employees and the union that protects them!!!!!!

My parents bought a Honda, kept it six months and dumped it.....worst vehicle they had ever owned they said.
I'd also consider buying a Hyundai, the new genisis is a very fine looking car
And ford's done great, the workers are great employees, but the UAW has run the big three into the ground. Retiree's health care costs, salaries, and benenfits are whats killing the big three, I think what will happen is the big three will end up in bankruptcy, be relieved of those obligations, and proceed forward under new contracts.....its the only way out as i see it.
And to all of those who think the new 09 is overpriced (or the 08's for that matter) ...... to a large extent its because of the UAW....
Just my opinion.....
You obviously havent followed the market and such. All new trucks and suvs have lost such a high percentage of their value, that it makes trading in a problem vehicle pretty tough when you owe more on it that it is worth (plus the wife won't let me trade this one in till 100K anyways, since I went out on a limb and trusted ford one too many times).
So yes I have altered the vehicle with some aftermarket things recently to make the truck better. IF FORD CANNOT MAKE THE VEHICLE PERFORM THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE FROM THE START AND GIVEN THE MANY OPPORTUNITIES I HAVE GIVEN THEM, why not make the truck better and more fun to drive???
Since adding the aftermarket custom tunes and leveling kit, I could not be happier. The truck is performing now better than it ever did. I just had to fork over a little money to get it where it should have been from the start. I find it pretty funny that an aftermarket company can come up with a better tune for the engine than Ford can do for themselves. I am getting way better throttle response, way better fuel economy, and it is more fun to drive.
Depends on the state. If its a right to work state the case would have been thrown out of court.
Frankly, someone going out with the boss's ex.... that's not very good judgement. You have to remember, the company created the job, and the job belongs to the company, not the employee. If someone works for my company I should be able to hire/fire whoever I want so long as its not discriminating a protected status group.
Now, in this case, it can certainly create a situation where the boss and other employees are not comfortable working with the guy, possible communications break-downs because it, etc., and if a boss or other employees are impacted by an employees decisions they should have every right to replace a person who potentially creates hostility in the work place.

Now the kinda catch to that is, you have to be able to prove that you were fired for an unreasonable reason.
I date the boss's daughter, get fired, boss could say it was because i was screwing up too much and there would be his reasonable grounds for firing.
Just look at used car values and that will give you some real info.
Ford is on the brink of bankruptcy and for good reason. Will they even be able to stay in business next year without a bailout?
When your workforce is constantly looking over it's shoulders for pink slips quality can't be far behind. Honda and Toyota are in great shape because they have built quality vehicles for years. It's really that simple, build a vehicle that's dependable and it will sell.
My salesman at work is a Ford guy. I was looking at his Ford SUV the other day and asked him how he liked it. He said Fords are great till they hit 50,000 then things start rattling and falling off them.
He said his wifes Honda is a much better built vehicle.
People aren't stupid. They know who builds the best vehicles. It's going to take a decade of perfection from Ford to lose the stigma that they build poor quality cars.
My little sisters honda civic began to rattle at 25,000, now she has a freekin Scion tC and it rattles at 15,000. I think you just fooled yourself.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Initial quality does not correlate with long term quality. It's not even related. Anyone can build a vehicle that stays together for a couple months enabling the customer to fill out their satisfaction survey, even Ford.
The only thing Ford kills Toyota on is trips the the service writer for warranty repairs.
I know first about this first hand as I've owned three brand new Ford trucks and two Toyota trucks along with a Rav4, Camry and now our brand new 4Runner.
All of my Toyota's put together have had less trips to the service writer than my best Ford and that's how I judge quality.
It's like I said earlier, Toyota and Honda have an excellent reputation for buildng excellent vehicles and rightfully so.
On a side note, I was watching the news last night and congress was breaking off in the big three CEO's a$$es. How dumb was it to fly corporate jets to DC to beg for money? I'm sorry that they didn't get what they needed to keep themselves afloat, but, where does it end?
BTW, anyone who's dumb enough to play around with anyone who is or was close to the boss is an idiot and should be fired for stupidity. I don't want to work with a prson that I don't trust and no one else should have to either.
