O.K. guys and gals, here are the final pics. I installed the 6 Carling switches, and a DPDT (on-off-on)toggle for my temp guage. After I had cut the opening to fit the 2 carling 3 switch mounts, I had about 1.5 inches of open space at the bottom that just didnt look right to me. I added a false back to the opening and then filled it with bondo. I then hit it with a 100 grit sanding block to get it all nice and level, and then finished it off with 320 grit sand. I light coat of primer, and some paint and its done.
The toggle switch you see below the Carling switches is a selector switch for my temp guage. throw the switch to the left, and my guage reads my oil temp, throw it to the right and it reads my coolant temp. I added a T fitting to my HPOP resevior to accomodate both the factory EOT sensor, and the sensor that came with my guage. I also added a sensor for coolant temp in the same fashion. Before anyone asks, I had to add the T fitting to my waterpump, simply because the inside of the hex plug was chewed up, and would not come out.
sorry the nighttime pics arent that clear, cheap camera.
That looks damned good Brandon. Nice work. If I had anything to say it would have been a rocker type switch for the gauge as I am not a fan of the toggles. At any rate it is a slick setup.

Yeah, me too, but this idea of the dual purpose guage didnt hit me till after the switches were ordered. (thanks Jeremy, for the idea) Ill get one soon and make the change, but for now this works.
That really looks good Brandon, are the other 4 open switches for anything else you want to add later?
Yep, right now I have my driving lights, backup lights, and CB wired in. One is reserved for an air compressor, and one is reserved for a torque converter lock up. I am sure Ill find something for the last one
That very idea was/is going through my mind just looking at how good that thing looks in those pics.
Mike, I really do think it would work with your 4X4 stick. the top of your shifter *** would be right in front of where my guages are. If you look in the first pic, at my hump cover, you can see the lines for the cut out for the floor shifter.

I know Brandon. I'm sure it would fit or I could make it fit. Alas, I have other fish to fry, but I am keeping this on the list.
I am about ready to pull my turbo and have a look in addition to swapping GPs. I am sick of the excessive smoke during startup. It is getting colder now and you remember what that looked like. Not so bad in the summer.
I will drop my FP first and see what that does, and take it from there.
