I got it off of ebay. They don't come available all that often, but they are out there for reasonable prices.
It is just an opening that the upfitters snap into. The little cubby to the right is where the trailer brake controller go on the 05-07's if equipped. I believe the opening is 2 1/2" tall and 8-9" wide. Don't quote me on it without measuring but it's gotta be close. You could easily build a panel that snaps into that place that would hold the Carlings.
I been keeping an eye on ebay, hadnt seen one yet. Putting my carlings in there is what i had in mind.So my search will continue. Only problem is that now I will have to replace the fuse panel cover also.

have you tried fitting the carlings in the current cubby hole? I didnt, so I dont know if they will fit or not. ive still got my old dash piece out in the shop, and I am sure with a little cutting and fabrication it could be done.
The fues panel cover and be filled, sanded, and painted so you dont have to replace it.
I actually have to fill the large hole from my previous switch mount, but that is a project for another day....
Thats the part number Brandon listed in an early post. I got it ordered and double checked the price. so for right now, it's all good. Comes direct from vendor so it takes me a few days to get in. I'll look at it when it gets here.
The dealer called me and said mine was in. Went to pick it up and guess what. Wrong part. It was actually a direct replacement for what I already have. I gave them the part # AGAIN so they researched it and told me that it was a "Blue Diamond" part and not a Ford part. They have one more shot at gettin it right.

Yeah, I saw that, I ordered over the phone and I guess they just ignored the part # and just looked it up under the regular Ford system for a 650. Being a truck shop you would think they would have known. I like to see the parts first before I pay whenever possible.

Hey Ed -
Did you get it in yet? Is it the right part? I'm waiting to hear on this and then plan on ordering one soon - plus the switches, etc. I need to figure what guages (or whatever) to put in there. Maybe a map pocket instead.... hmmm... anywho... please let us know when you get it if it truly is all good. There's a couple itchy cards out there that need a little swipin'!!

got it in today, big dam box too. Shipping to Lompoc Ca is going to cost $17.32 so if you order one or anyone else orders one shipping will be a little more then the default price listed on my web site. But it looks perfect.
