I seem to find them at times where it doesn't seem to work out for me to talk to them or even get a number. Take last Friday for instance. Was out at a bar with some of my friends for Halloween (obviously, from the pic earlier), and of all the girls there who were dressed in these skimpy little costumes, I found one of the waitresses pretty dang attractive. Not at all dressed up, just some sweats and a hoodie, hair pulled back in a pony tail. However, she's trying to work and I figured she wouldn't take me seriously because she would think I'm wasted, even though I only had a drink or two -- far from wasted. I talked to her a little, but could see she was busy so didn't try too much.

Now, how should I have gone about trying to even get a number or something from that gal? I didn't feel like there was anything I could do that wouldn't seem like I was bothering her.

To me, it sounds like wrong time wrong place dude. She is at work, where everyone hits on her, all the time. I doubt she would be very receptive no matter what you did. Thats just my .02 though. Maybe the girls have the in on that one.

Waitresses are a touchy one to pick up. Not impossible, but you have to get that seperation from just being a customer, to someone that looks interested in her, genuinely.

That's what I was thinking too. Which is why I didn't try much.

Exactly! How to do that is where I struggle.

As far a politics who ever wins I would hope for a lot of change
I don't like to talk politics so that is all I will say
My MIG certification was with .035 on 1/2" plate. Every place I've ever worked ran .035 and welded some pretty thick stuff. I also only run .035 on my Miller at home. I dont do much MIG and NO stick...It's all TIG for me now.

My buddy Jeff is about the only one I'll do work for and never ask for a thing though, mainly because it goes both ways with us. I'm skilled with the wrench work on his vehicles, and he's skilled with the homebuilding stuff. We pretty much end up trading labor over the years. I've helped him a lot with his truck (as I'm doing now...wouldn't even want to know what the dealer would charge for what's being done...I'm sure it would be in the thousands of dollars), and he's helped me a ton around the house with laying tile, painting, building a storage shed, and helping to lay out and pour my back patio & driveway extension. We never ask for anything because we know we'll eventually on the other side of the help fence.
Had a little problem like these myself a couple months ago. So needless to say I will NOT be doing anything to help this guy out anymore. I'm with you there, don't mind helping someone out that helps me out. I got a buddy like that too.

I used to waitress. Honestly, it just depends. Go in there during a time when its not rush, when the restaurant isn't busy. Asking a waitress out during a busy time won't do you any good, because, even if she's interested, she's too busy to devote any attention to you.

Strike up a conversation with her, and just be totally honest. Tell her that you'd like to grab a cup of coffee or maybe dinner, and apologize if you seem too forward and that you usually don't do this sorta thing.

Dude, he's tryin real hard to settle himself a different score, I'm sure the last thing he'll think about is getting you some free dip. FYI I got your flyers, and I can PM you my email address.

What I would suggest is to go in, sober, not be a customer and ask her if she would like to go on a date.
The timing might be critical, don't try it during a busy time of the day/evening. She needs time to consider your request.
Give her a card with your name, address, phone number on it so she can verify who you are, and don't expect a yes.
And if she says yes, go do something that doesn't involve alcohol. She works with the stuff every day.

I had that problem too.

There was this bar that we always went too. We would go and get all hammered up and have a great time. The one waitress there was such a cutie, real down to earth looking type, and her attitude was just awesome (could see more of her attitude and personality cause we went there all the time, so we got to see more then just the waitress)

Anyways my buddy was dating a girl that knew a girl, that knew this waitress. i found all this out, so I started trying to get the wheels in motion by getting a bunch of us to hang out together.

I could tell that after a few times of all of us hanging around, that she was getting into me and i was pumped about that!

The one night my buddy ended up breaking up with his girl, and somehow or ended up driving the waitress home that night, and tried to kiss her, she told his she wasnt into him, and she was into me.

Again i was pumped about that, but my buds ex girl found out that my bud tried to kiss her "friend" and that was the end of any of us hanging around together!

I blabbered on a little much there, but in short if your into her, go to the bar that she works at alot, (but dont get smashed up like i used to all the time, i was young and dumb haha) and sit in her section, especially on a slow night, and strike some conversation with her. Look closely for anything she is interested in, and try to talk about that, and listen, lots!

Tip her when your ready to go home, but dont make it a huge tip. Tell her you will see her "thursday" and hope she tells you if she works or not that day.
