Got my first speeding ticket

Ahhhh what a wonderful night. Went to wallyworld to pick up the usual college supplies (pop tarts, hot pockets, cheapest beer i could find) and thought the truck was making a weird noise. So, me being me, I gunned on it when it locked 3rd. Mind you i was in a 55 when it locked.... well i hit "67" apparently and the speed limit had dropped to 45. Not a great night to say the least. Ahh , just had to vent a lil guys, sorry.

O btw- the noise was a bag i had in the back of the truck making a whistling noise. I did see 23 lbs of boost though lol

I have one ticket also. It was for 67 in a 45 too lol.

Cheapest beer Ill drink (well that Ill pay for lol) is Natty light.. Check to see If theres a Sams Club, BJs, Costco ect near you, back down in Fl at BJ's you could pick up beer about a dollar cheaper than anywhere else. Handles of Capt were $20 too. IIRC it was only $25 to sign up but you end up paying for that in the money you save.

Don't feel too bad. I just got one up by Chicago in my work truck. 71 in a 55 work zone (I still think he clocked the car in front of me, but what can you do). My lawyer says it will cost around $1000 and I may end up with a suspended license. I'll find out November 5th.

I got a 65 in a 45 just a few months after I bought my truck. It costed me about $250, plus I had to show up in court and plead guilty to a lesser charge, a few points off my license..and when I went to court (Downtown Denver) I had to park in metered parking and ended up getting a ticket because the truck was too long and hung over into another metered parking spot. Another $40.

Sucks dude. Quit beer, maybe you'll save some money there!

Ahhh, I remember the days when I was younger and a little more careless. I received several tickets for excessive speed. Let's see...54 in a 35, 66 in a 30, clocked at 74 & paced up to 82 in a 55, oh yeah and a CNI (carless and imprudent) for drag racing. I think there's another one I got, but can't remember it.

How times have changed though. Last ticket I got was over 4 years ago, and I've calmed down quite a bit since. I did get stopped earlier in the spring for 72 in a 55. I was coming home from visiting my grandparents who had recently been in the hospital and wasn't at all paying attention. It was an honest mistake and I wasn't in a rush to be anywhere. The cop was cool about it and let me off with a written warning.

Natty...water in a can. LOL.

About 22 yrs ago, I was passing an apparently drunk driver, one night, that kept running off onto the shoulder. I decided to pass him up and get out of the line of fire. The shoulder had rocks that were slinging at my truck. Met a state trooper after coming around him. Guess who got the ticket. 86 mph in a 55. Only was ~ $75 fine back then. Couldn't talk my way out of that one.
