I am really sorry to say this guys, but I think that the 09' ford trucks look terrible.(on the outside) The new body style is dissapointing compared to what they looked like before. Ford needs to get the modeler that desighned the new chevys. (oops...did I just say that). Hopefully you guys won't tell me to get out. I just dont think they look as good as the 06's an 07's. Especially not the 150.

I think its all preference. The new F150 will grow on most people. I use to own a Silverado SS and I like it better than the new Silverado. I do like the new 09 RAM, very nice interiour and i like the storage area on side of the bed. Some people also like the Tundra, but its too euro looking to me.
I do like the look of the 04-08 trucks but like the 09 styling a bit more but as time goes on the 04-08's are looking more dated as everyday passes. cant say at all that i think the chevys and dodges look good. I think they look a bit boring me self. but then again most US brand cars/trucks that are sold in mainly the US look boring to me. Ford seem to have some good styleing in europe and US and dont stick to that same bland US look that some others have.
I concur. Ford has been running from the rounded design of the 1997-2003 F-150 because many truck buyers didn't like the jelly bean look (or catfish depending on how you look at it). They did a nice job with the 2004-2008, except, imho, the bed height is way too high. Since the 2009 is basically the same truck (not a redesign, just a refresh) I guess they were limited with what they could do. I think going back to the 1980s squared look was a mistake. I think they could have made it bolder without making it more boxy. Raising the hood center and bring the hood sides down a little maybe.
The positives of the new look:
1. Adding some character to the tailgate instead of having a huge panel with no style in it like the 2004-2008 has.
2. Updating the tail lights.
Negatives:
1. Overly large fender flares.
2. Squared off front.
The interior... I think all the changes are positive. If the build quality of the interior turns out to be as good as the 2004-2008 (the previous gen 1997-2003 was pretty shoddy I think) it'll be a winner.
Dodge... I don't think they've had any idea about coming up with a new design since the RAM was redesigned in 1994. Every generation since it seems their thinking was: people liked the raised hood and rounded front, lets make it even more raised and rounded. Its a shame considering that Dodge/Chrysler has led the way with some pretty radical designs while the rest of the industry stayed boring. Unfortunately, I don't feel they carried this same attitude over to the RAM.
Chevy... I'm not a fan but I like it better than the RAM. Its not a bad design but their interiors just flat out stink.
One of the dealerships around here has a couple of new 09 Rams on the lot. A buddy of mine and I were tooling around town late last night and stopped by to take a look. I really like the front end of the new Rams, however the rear end is gawdy. The tailgate has a whale tail type of thing molded into it. The rear door is considerably larger than the previous quad cab and there are a TON of HUGE ram heads on the grill, tailgate, seats, center console, etc.
I wasn't sure at first, but I now I definitely like the '09s better, and I really like the previous generation. Granted, I see a lot more '09s than I do '04-08s because of my job--but I think once folks start seeing them parked side by side, they'll see the improvements. I think there's this perception that the new ones are blockier and less aerodynamic. Again, when you see them side by side, you'll see that isn't so.
Used to be the Dodge was the most masculine looking truck, and now it's been practically feminized (and yes, I've seen both an '09 F150 and an '09 Ram parked side by side). Not that that's a bad thing; it's just not my thing.

Don't apologize dude, your entitled to your opinion just like the rest of us. I too am not yet a huge fan of the '09 look. I hate the tail lights and the big block letters on the side of the bed. I don't like the headlights on the '09 F-150, Expy or Edge, they're all the same. I think the '04 - '08 look is the best looking truck Ford has built since the '80-'86 models.
The thing that bothers me most about the new trucks, '04 - current is the vast amount of painted surface on the front clip. I deal with this on my '04 Expy. Rock chips, bugs, scratches, etc. Give me a big a$$ chrome bumper on the front like on the SD's.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't the 97-03 body style the best selling F150 ever?
99-03 were the best looking in my opinion.
I'm not liking the front end of the 09 F150 and I'm not real fond of the Tundra looking tail lights either. The center of the dash has more buttons than a 747 cockpit
It usually takes me awhile to warm up to the looks of a new design (or refreshed design) but I dont mind the way the new 09's look from what I have seen.
Also, about the buttons, I like lots of buttons. Im one of the few though, I know that!
If you ask me all the new trucks look like crap! It doesn't matter if its Ford Chevy Dodge Toyota Nissan whatever. They all just look rediculous! The new super duty is the worst.

I agree with you except for the SD. We've been beating and liberating European countries for how long? Why do we make our cars look like thiers? We lost out automotive identity in the early 70's.
