When I had my 04 it had a SnugTop tonneau on it. The high bed sides were a welcome design as I could put a lot of things under there.

However, every now and then I'd take it off and use my SoftTopper it was then that I realized how hard it was to put anything in or out of the bed from the sides.

It looks like the new sidestep will help that. Not sure if it is standard, a single option though or if it is bundled in some ridiculous package.

I'm sure they were saying that just to you. If I were the UK and finally got rid of you, I'd make it PITA for you to get back, too.

However, that isn't us though. No, we loud, self-centered, self-absorbed Americans welcome you with open arms and give you opportunity.

Plus, you're fodder for us here on FTE.

You would be suprised at how **** they are. 2 years for me to get my marraige visa is very quick. other visa can take 5-15 years to get. I was even nearly sent back to the UK because of problems with my paper work. The silly thing was there were 3 indian people in the room they put you in at the airport and they couldnt speak a word of english. They had ended up having no return flights back to the UK and didnt have any address to where they was going in the US. But because there was no translator avalible they just let them straight through. i was stuck there for 3 hours longer because i returned to the US only 3 days after i went back to the UK. Only allowed to stay here 6 months max at any one time a calender year. If you out stay that they wont let you back in for years.

Yeah I know a couple (kids went to school together - same class) from the UK and they have had nothing but problems trying to get settled here the "right way." Meanwhile illegal immigrants are just walking in and finding jobs immediately, here in AZ.

It's not only that... but getting banks to offer financing for housing, etc. is more difficult. Her and her husband owned a house, completely, back in the UK, and did not have anything on credit, so the banks gave them a lot of grief for that... also because they had no SSN and for lots of other weird reasons.

I don't know. We really need some immigration and visa reforms.

This is what i hear all the time. You do it the proper way and they charge you a small fortune and it takes ages and like you say illegal immigrants can come here open bank accounts and then a little later apply for a SSN. I had a nightmere getting that and my permits to work. Im still having SSN problems at the moment. One day it will all be sorted.

Ahh ok thats why I havent noticed. I have never put anything in the box of one to see how deep it is.

Was just kinda curious though!

No

The euros have built some beautiful cars (1965 Aston Martin DB5, 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, 1968 Jaguar E-Type, 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE, etc...) but America has built cars every bit as timeless.

For example, a 1963 Corvette will stack up favorably to any of those cars.

Take any Packard for example... Gorgeous machines, ahead of their time in some ways.

Yeah, I guess the bed in the F-150 is a bit deep. It hasn't hampered me in any way. I suppose tho' if this was my "work truck" and I used it to haul stuff day in and day out it might get tiresome. Hauling stuff once/week isn't a strain tho'.

Yes indeed all very nice cars. Well before my era but still great cars. My era of cars were the group b rally cars like the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Audi quattro, Ford RS200, MG Metro 6R4, peugeot 205 T16, Renault 5 turbo 2. These things were performance beasts. Had a buddy with a 1023bhp HF Intergrale. That thing used to blow me away. Also knew a guy with a mint condition Audi quattro, never heard such a nice sounding standard engine. Just a shame we had to lose them group b cars from the wrc.
