i bought a kit that was made by a member on another forum that is pretty much the same as your kit with one exception. the by-pass thing. i paid 96 bux for it so for your extra neat by-pass option i think somewhere in the ballpark of 140 bux would probably be the highest i would pay. jmo......
For $96, I would want to know how well it worked. I want to see tests.
i would agree with indy. no more than $140 for prefabed ccv kit. anyone have any links to different homemade plans. i have read through guzzles but would like to see a few more.
Yes he is. You should see how many Ford Diesel forums have his website "stickied" at the top of their technical section. Only reason it isn't here is because FTE doesn't allow stickies......
Dude, this place is very peaceful.. Come to the Nation my brada. Maybe you can join the discussion on the AirFlow designed turbo your stuck you name on....Yep, some Nation guys found it on the org.
Now this thread is dead. Sorry to the OP. Please resurrect.

Not Airflo, but PDR... The name of the turbo is the Super GTP, and was designed and tested by PDR, but then BD swooped in and stole it...
I am not trying to start an argument here... I will agree ours cost more but at least with our kits you get what you pay for!
Wow, you're a class act, aren't you?
1. I didn't know that vendors were allowed to post snide comments about other vendors products in the FTE forums...most places don't allow that.
2. Now I know why you called me wondering where you could see the CCV kit on my site. I knew it was fishy that someone from BD was calling and asking about that kit, but I had no idea it was so you could post a picture from my website and try to use it to make me look bad. If this is how BD operates, you can count on me NEVER being interested in handling your products! Next time you are going to call a competitor and ask for information to be used to bash said competitor...at least have the common sense to block your caller ID or use a personal phone...or better yet, don't be a jerk and just skip the call.
3. As for the $10 comment...quite possibly the raw materials are close to that (though I suspect they are a bit higher)...but...by the time they are actually manufactured (water jet cutting the bracket, cutting the tube, welding the bracket to the tube, powdercoating the assembly, etc.)...there is certainly more in it than that. Unlike a big company like BD, these are made in small batches...not by the hundred or more...so bulk pricing is not in play on the manufacturing side. I don't manufacture this kit, so I don't know the exact numbers. I can say this though, it does what is needed...keeps the oil out of the IC tubes without creating backpressure in the crankcase.
If you have any problems with my comments, feel free to call me to discuss them. You've got my number, just press "redial".
I agree .... coffee cans are no good, that's why I used a tomato can!!!!!
[quote=dave at BD Power;661992]Wow that was helpful![quote]
Actually it is very helpful! He's not kidding, he used a recycled tomato can in the construction of his CCV canister. Guzzle has the best designed homemade CCV I've seen yet!
How swift do you have to be to come onto a popular diesel form and make snide remarks about Guzzle and ITP....Maybe we should show him Dan's (Kwik) original ideas of his DIY fuel bleed off system. Then he can hack on that legend......
