those pics are the 53-56 cowl vent.. apparently the earlier ones are way different.. the cover bolts TO the vent, where on the 53-56, its spot welded together..

your pics are better

Yep you're right. I mentioned that on the post, but thought I'd throw it on just in case. The pictures are 48-52 and are out of my 51. I can't find the line drawing of the earlier vent anywhere. I also had pictures of it when I had it out and can't seem to locate those either.
