Come here and you can take back all of the snow we get Paul.
Of course you have to take the freezing cold back with you too...........It keeps the snow from melting!
Hey their neighbors What's the scoup on the sgi truck when they say mechanical and structual I know mechanical is for the safety but what and how much is the structual fees I was looking at truck on the sgi 2002 it looks like just a door. What you think Morris If any one has some info on it could you pass it along. Thanks Roy
Im not sure how much the structual fees are, but on that truck they would probably check out the rocker panel, the frame, the whole cab in general to make sure it is "structually" sound.
I had a buddy in pa that bought a import 4x4 truck that needed the structual repairs done, and he said it was easy to get it to pass.
Glen would probably be the one to ask, he knows about that kinda stuff.
i know prep, hi morris,
it sounds pretty bizzare but out here not uncommon. i still think it was stolen! we have land slides all the time. i think last year they lost 1 section of a appartment complex slide off a cliff that collapsed. it was a mess. because it rains so much out here. let me put it this way i can put a 5 gallon bucket on my back porch with in a few hours its full!! thats 24" of rain in 1 night. or in a few hours. depends on how hard it rains to! and it rained for 3 more months straight after that. i'm suprised we don't wear scuba gear. or drowned! and no pun intended!
Wow, that`s alot of rain Jack!
I could be wrong here but it seems to me that initial structural inspection is visual to determine the extent of the damages. That should tell you if it`s worth messing with.
guys,
you can always tell if there is damage and they tried to cover it up with bondo! but it does take some work if your buying a car or truck. buckeling carpet is 1, panels that don't look right or fit right. body lines are uneven, large gaps between extierer panels. ie. fenders, hood, grill, cowl, etc. squeeks and rattles are another.
Some good points there Jack.
In a way I`m glad that there are these inspections, some awful junk used to be sold to the unsuspecting public before this.
hi sherm,
yesterday i got a phone call from gordon trucking inc. 1 of there hr people called me! and asked me about my work history, expierence, how long, kind of a pre-interveiw chat so to speek. how much per hour i was looking at, i told them at least $12.00 an hr i was making $12.50 at clays as an r&i tech,
what shift? i told them at this point i'll take any shift. i can work on and fix trucks and trailers [ class 8]. i'll work graveyard if i have to. when i was at werner i worked the 3-11 shift. and i loved it.now erin works 3pm-2:30 am shift. but she gets off at 12:30am tonight. anyway i'm going to get a call from gordon monday or tuesday next week for a follow up and maybe hire! i hope! drug test all that stuff. i don't do drugs so i'm not worried about that.
all i do is beer. and smoke cigerettes. after all oregon is a right to work state. thats one the things i hate! Nebraska is the same way. you can have a job for lets say 25 years and they can fire you for no reason!
morris,
i used work with a friend of mine who owns a used car dealership! and i learned alot. fast! what to spot! that guy really showed me what to look for! and thank you morris i take it to heart! hey sometimes i can add advice on stuff that i know about! and stuff that i have done in my life! i've been a mechanic all my life! i worked in the auto salvage, police accident investagator, and a mechanic all my life. over the years you pickup things that you learn by being there and doing it. lifes OJT so to speak.
and morris thank you very much. i'm no expert by anyones stretch of the imagination but yeah. i can point yas in the right direction.
