(rolling on the floor, laughing)! I'm beyond waaaaay up there, I'm almost 500 kms north of Edmonton, about a 4 1/2 hr drive , on a clear day. there's not much past here, except the North Pole, and Santa.

Now youknow why there are so fewoptions for flying, and basically no shopping. There is only 1 major route in and out of here, Hwy 63. they callit the "killer hwy", due the number of accidents every week on it. Once winter hits here, I don't drive south till possibly March, mostly likely April.

We are cooling down a bit today, but only to about -9, there is a slight drop towards the 22nd then back to -7 range next week.

I have afriend driving to PEI this morning, going thru Sasktoon, Regina, heading to Russell, Manitoba for the night, or there abouts. What are the roads like out that way?

it depends on the radio, antennas, linear amps, etc. laurie
most stock cb radios with a good antenna has a range of up to 20 miles.
i just have a 40 channel cobra with a 4' firestick. some of the antennas are adjustable
and have to be setup with an SWR meter.
like i said before a stock radio and a good antenna has a pretty descent range.
