I wish Ian, instead we use natural gas for heat and a lot of it.

Oh that sucks.
Here we do not even have gas, just electric heat.

Natural gas is the best way to go if you have it in your area, it's cheap and clean.

We only have electricity here, not natural gas.
Also have a well and septic tank, as no public water or sewer here in the country.

Drove 200 miles today round trip with the panel to have a cup of coffee at Tim Horton's in Dryden, trip was also to see if the hole I drilled in the thermostat was enough to bypass but still keep the engine temp running normal. It was 0*C when we left this morning and maintained 95 to 100 degrees on the way down, outside temp reached 10* on the way home but the engine temp fluctuated between 100 and 112 degrees. I think over the winter I will enlarge the hole a bit more for the spring time runs.
