Good morning to all that lurk here.
Bummer on the fenders John, hopefully they arrive soon. That picture was was two falls ago so that`s why the lack of any snow. By this weekend a lot more should be gone but not likley all of it will disappear.
Is there any snow still left in your area Colin, Sherm?
Bummer on your transportation business problems Grant, sounds like you`re due for a nice, long holiday at some of the California F100 shows.
Say hi to the folks in Kansas for us Colin.
Howdy guy's. Morris, is that a recent picture? If so. I'm really jealous. To bad about the fender's John. That's a lame excuse for a missed delivery. Betcha the guy didn't know where Dryden was, probably his 1st week in Canada. I hear it all the time from customers that went for the cheaper rate. I always get calls saying; Grant, so & so can do it for this much. I say go ahead. A month later I'll get a call: Can you still do this for me? Usually by then we have found a new customer. Most of our business is long time, but may have left us at one point to get the better rate. The shipping rates in place from most of the vendors are menu priced. They shop around for a cheaper carrier to make more off the shipping. We often get calls from Fed Ex and Purolater to bring in expedited freight from one of their hubs. Sorry for the long post. Just venting. I'm really getting tired of the transportation business. Have a great night'all.
When ordering from businesses you aren't given a choice of carriers but they at least try and keep the shipping cost reasonable. I got my fenders today and both were in great shape, unfortunately they shipped 2 left fenders so another week of waiting. I also received my new radiator today. Getting closer to getting this thing up and running..
Morning boys. Beautiful weekend so far!! We do still have a lot of snow around here, especially in our yard where the warm wind can't reach it as much. It was really soft yesterday though and the banks are receding. +12 for a high should take care of a lot of it too.
Happy Sunday mornin'all. Drizzling here this am. Been battling standing water since Friday eve. I got home and Dawn said the sewage pump is running constant, so was our sump pump. our sump pump runs to the septic tank in winter. We have a by pass to run the sump outside the ground for spring. Ii hooked it up, and it was like a spray pad at the local kiddy park. Got that all fixed up. I think next years rink will have to be modified. It's too close to the house. We had lots of standing water, that I've never seen before. I had to put a utility pump in by the septic tank to pump water away. we have a concrete tank, and with standing water around it, seep into the tank. I also have a SeeFill filter in my sewage line that has to be cleaned. I 'll put the Hazmat gear on and clean it today ( I hate this job, Makes me gag, and stinks up the house ). I just got my Sun Pro Super tach on Friday. It's a 5'' and I will mount it on the dash. it's chrome, and I've always liked the "Old School Tach On The Dash Look". I hope you guy's don't that's too cheesy. Have a great day guy's. Stay High & Dry.
Sunny and windy here today. The wife is at work and the kids are at friends so I have got a lot of little odd jobs done this afternoon. A nice day off as next weekend dance competitions start and go for the next month.
