It`s great finally having both sons living nearby on my home quarter of land, this son moved back from Alberta.

Some clients who did not water enough have dead grass (thatch). Power raking several weeks before the ground starts to freeze is just as good as the spring.

All you guys talk about lawn work makes my head hurt ... I mow and bushog . The grass grows too much for my taste .... But 50 acre is more than most deal with . Enjoy Fall , Winter is close ! Pack in extra fire wood , My bones feel another hard winter ahead , Or I am just getting old ....

It's better getting old than being under the lawn John. I too hate the thoughts of winter.

I have never liked the heat , still don't . I always loved the cold . Cutting firewood in short sleeves in the snow and 30 f temps . I put 140 thousand miles on a KZ 1100 . I drove it year round ! Back in the 90's I was riding my old Goldwing , in the sleet and rain .... I changed my mind . I now find the cold less tolerable year after year .

I`m not sure we want to go there, there maybe a few complications.... plus a hefty increase in property taxes.

Thanks Gerry. A friend took a bunch of pictures of the RTM arriving but so far I can`t post them here.
