Actually Robb, you don't un-solder that chip #6042. You take a small screwdriver, place it against the side of the resister and "TAP" the screwdriver and the resister will break into two (2) or more pieces.
I now that there is "A Guy" that does it for $100.00 and I think that either TJ or Madvan has his name.
It's really a piece of cake if you have a 15W soldering iron, ,015 solder and a little adventure blood. With that said, if you are not that comfortable with it, DON'T DO IT!!
gotta get a new trans first and gauges first. then i will do the other fun stuff. the cheap things fpr shim, ccv i will do immediately following. along with putting my dp on before /after tranny job. then switch to a dp tuner or tw chip.
